Experience Summary:
Mr. Thomas has over thirty years of experience in the design field. As indicated above he has received licenses in engineering, planning and architecture. This varied background allows project leadership, which is grounded in the several disciplines which, are required to develop a comprehensive plan.
Mr. Thomas has been responsible for the design of large-scale commercial and residential multi-family projects. Most recently this includes a 30,000 square foot church, a 9,000 square foot office facility and such multi-family projects as the Stockton Beach House, Club Regatta and Jolly Roger. The firm’s work also includes the design of many custom single-family homes and duplexes. The company has been involved in the development and rehabilitation of over 6,000 homes in the Southern New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida areas. In Ocean City, New Jersey alone George Wray Thomas has been involved in the design of over 4,000 units, both residential and commercial. This range also includes the full design responsibility for a river front 25 townhouse and 42-apartment unit project to be constructed along the Delaware River, in Salem County, New Jersey.
Many of the design projects have included the jurisdiction and regulation of various local, state and federal agencies. The design development of a project under the sometimes-conflicting guidelines of the separate agencies requires not only a level of experience, but also diversity in background, which allows each of the agencies to be accommodated. This multi-disciplined approach has worked successfully for many projects completed under Mr. Thomas’s direction.
